RDG 5480 PSYCHOLOGICAL AND THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF LITERACY INSTRUCTION: CURRENT THEORIES AND TRENDS
This course examines current models and theories of literacy acquisition in relation to the science of reading. Neural, cognitive, linguistic, and socio-cultural processes related to literacy development and acquisition will be addressed. Implications of the models and theories are presented in the context of evidence-based practices of literacy instruction.
