RDG 5410 LITERACY INSTRUCTION: EMERGENT LITERACY THROUGH PHONICS INSTRUCTION
This course explores foundational principles, theoretical frameworks, and research-based practices in emergent literacy and phonics instruction. Topics include print concepts, phonological processing, phonemic awareness, the alphabetic principle, and the cognitive, linguistic, and sociocultural bases of early reading development.
