Students will complete a minimum of 60-75 hours in PK-12 classroom setting(s) for a clinical experience that further develops the work completed in the co-requisite course, EDUC 3002, Lesson Plan Design and Development. This course will prepare teacher candidates with the ability to design and implement standards-based lesson plans according to the College of Education template and rubric. The clinical experience placement will align with the student's area of teacher certification.
To effectively meet the requirements for this course and clinical placement, students will need one full day in their schedule (same day the co-requisite course EDUC 3002 is offered) to complete the clinical work. There will be a minimum of nine full days required in the PK-12 classroom setting to complete the minimum of 60-75 hours required. Students will need to have access to public or private transportation to get to the PK-12 school setting.
