EMSE 3125 SCIENCE METHODS IN ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL EDUCATION

This course is for undergraduate students seeking certification to teach elementary and middle school science (K-6, and K-6, 5-8). Prospective educators will develop pedagogical content knowledge through exploring effective science teaching methods, aligning with the NGSS and NJSLS-S standards. Course content includes research-based practices and developmentally effective instructional strategies for K-8 learners. Candidates will create and evaluate science lessons, learn assessment techniques, integrate literacy and technology, address diverse learner needs, and explore equitable pathways to engage all students in science.
