ENG 2280J Modern Dramatic Lit
The course examines the major plays and the theatrical movements of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, including works by Ibsen, Chekhov, Shaw, Brecht, O'Neil, Williams, Miller, Glaspell, Beckett, Pinter, Fugard, and Wilson, among others — and the cultural contexts that inspired Surrealism, Impressionism, and Absurdism. Fulfills the Humanistic Perspectives requirement for Gen Ed. (Previously NJCU Course ENGL-228)
