EMSE 2800J Challenges in Urban Education

Students examine sociological, historical, philosophical, political, and anthropological foundations of education, to understand how these underpin life in urban classrooms, schools, and school systems. Readings and class work encourage critical perspectives on the social, political, and economic contexts that influence teaching and learning in urban schools. (Previously NJCU Course EDU-280)
