PAS 6010 RESEARCH TWO: RESEARCH METHODS AND EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE
During this second course of the research series, students will further explore topics in health science research. Students will be placed in groups with a faculty advisor to develop a research proposal suitable for IRB submission. Problem finding, formulation of a research question, research methodology, design and data collection and interpretation will be addressed. Ethical considerations in research will be discussed. Published research articles will be critically analyzed. At the conclusion of the course, students will complete a literature review and prepare a research proposal to address the gaps in the literature. The original study research proposal will be further developed in PAS*6020 and brought to completion in PAS*6030.
