This course builds upon Human Behavior in the Social Environment Part I. Students will increase their understanding of individual development and behaviors as they gain knowledge about groups, organizations, community, society, and the global context. Students will understand the benefits of groups and communities in helping clients function and grow. Students will also learn about various theories that help explain human behavior in the environment. Students will analyze individuals in their environment through various films that provide an opportunity to see how context is instrumental to development. This course also features content on immigration and refugee experiences as they relate to global challenges and direct practice with clients. (Previously NJCU Course SWK-307)
