FA 1200J History of Photography
This course traces the development of photography from its prehistory to the present, with particular emphasis on the medium as an art form. Discussion of photographic aesthetics and techniques, and an assessment of the effect of political, social and economic climates on the medium are covered. Students view the work of established maters and contemporary innovators in fine art and commercial photography each week. (Previously NJCU Course ART-120)
