PS 3125 PROTEST MOVEMENTS IN AMERICA

This course examines the role of protest movements in American politics. Because America is founded on the idea of revolution, movements of protest, resistance, and dissent have been meaningful forms of political engagement, and central to the development of American democracy. Students will have the opportunity to explore the tradition of American protest in relation to contemporary issues and communities in thinking about how movements and democracy intersect today.
