MUS 2203 JAZZ HISTORY
An introduction to the history of jazz music that has been developed and performed over the past 100+ years. This course will examine primary contributors to the jazz lineage, the primary eras of jazz, plus the many stylistic changes throughout the jazz’s history. This course also focuses on developing students’ listening skills with a specific focus toward analyzing and understanding the chords, form, and structure of the music.
