Forensic Science is the application of scientific principles to assist criminal and civil investigations, plus litigation. This 18-credit minor in Forensic Science provides students with a strong foundation in biological, chemical, physical, and other sciences through the introduction of forensic biology, chemistry, crime scene investigation and relevant disciplines. Students are educated on the relationship between forensic science and the criminal justice system in the investigation and resolution of crimes, the collection and analysis of scientific evidence, and court room testimony.
Minor Requirements
- 18 credits total
- MATH 1054 Pre-calculus (3 credits) is a GE course is required to be completed prior to enrolling in this minor
- 4 required FSC courses (13 credits)
- 1 or more FSC electives
- One required course and on course from elective courses in 3000 or above level
- Minimum grade of C is required in all courses
