The B.S. Computer Science and the B.S. Information Technology programs are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org) [Union campus only].
Declaration Requirements:
Computer Science and Information Technology majors (all options) must have a 2.5 overall GPA and complete at least 12 credits of CPS and TECH courses at Kean with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
Graduation Requirements:
Undergraduate students must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and met all degree requirements. Graduate students please refer to the Graduate Catalog.
Program Description:

The B.S. Computer Science degree (all options) provides theoretical and applied education to prepare graduates to develop computer software and systems.

The B.S. Information Technology degree (all options) provides a foundation for the development, design, testing, and quality assurance of computer software and systems.

The M.S. in Computer Information Systems graduates students with expertise in advanced software engineering practices.
All CS and IT degrees prepare students to think critically and creatively to succeed in challenging careers or graduate degrees by applying knowledge of computer science and information technology to analyze problems for the identification, design, and implementation of computer-based solutions by using current technical concepts.
