PA 5875 ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE OF LONG-TERM CARE, ASSISTED LIVING, AND ADULT DAY CARE SETTINGS
This course addresses decision making in the development of organizational policies, practices and culture in the long-term care setting and the impact it has on resident autonomy. Students explore the complexities of human resource management of non-licensed employees providing direct care to the vulnerable elderly population as well as how to market the services of long term care, assisted living and activities of daily living to an aged population. Students also study best practices and benchmarking in long term care, assisted living and activities of daily living.
