SPED 6000J Adults with Learning Disabili

Learning Disabilities present lifelong challenges. Problems and issues of employment and education at the post-secondary level that face adults with learning disabilities are the focus of this course. Biographies of adults with learning disabilities are studied. Topics include characteristics of adults with learning disabilities as well as issues relating to assessment, employment, public policy, and the justice system. This course is designed to be a mid-program course in the Master’s degree program in Special Education with the Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant Certification. It is also designed to be a prerequisite for Practicum in Learning Disabilities III: Adults. (Previously NJCU Course SPEC-700)
