The art historical examination of Latin American painting, sculpture, architecture,crafts, and other visual media from the 16th century to the 21st century, focusingon visual artistic developments in Mesoamerica, Central America, South America,and the Caribbean, as well as studying manifestations of Latina/o art in the UnitedStates.
