IDSS 4100 SPORTS STUDIES EXPERIENCE
The experiential learning placement in sports marketing offered through Kean’s educational partnerships with professional sports teams provides students with hands-on experience in sports marketing, communication, and branding. Students are involved in planning and executing campaigns that may include social media promotion, fan events, sponsorship activation, and game-day experiences. They will learn how to assess the effectiveness of marketing, communication, and design strategies and develop new ways to engage fans, boost team branding, and create memorable experiences at both the stadium and through digital platforms. This experience offers a direct understanding of how professional sports teams connect with fans and build their brand presence in a competitive market.
Note: Assignments and placements are arranged by the Program Coordinator for the Minor in Interdisciplinary Sports Studies. Approved Petition Required from minor coordinator. Students must apply and meet selection criteria. May be repeated for credit, if eligible.
