Career-related placement at an organization, business, or nonprofit entity related to Environmental Justice. The internship provides students with first-hand training, workplace exposure, and practical application of their knowledge and skills. Scope of work will vary and might focus, for example, on the equitable treatment of all communities in environmental decision-making, climate justice, environmental racism, and health impacts on marginalized communities.
Note: Assignments and placements are arranged by the Office of Career Services and must be approved by the Environmental Justice minor coordinator. Course can be offered as a Travellearn for groups doing internships abroad or out of state. Approved Petition Required via an Experiential Learning Agreement in Handshake/College Central.
