EDUC 2000 FOUNDATIONS OF URBAN EDUCATION

Exploration of how urban education has been defined, the relationships between urban schools, the communities they serve, and the larger United States society, and the laws and policies shaping urban school student achievement. This course will also focus on how urban school curricula shapes/develops youth identities in urban classrooms. Requirement for the Urban Education minor.
