BIO 4500 MEDICINAL PLANT BIOLOGY

This four-credit major elective course will allow students to investigate the therapeutic uses of plants, ranging from traditional indigenous methods of treating illnesses to modern western medicines. This course aims to provide students with knowledge on the biological aspects of medicinal plants as well as an understanding of their therapeutic potential in treating a variety of ailments, including but not limited to the common cold and cancer.
