BIO 3910 PRACTICAL COMPUTING FOR LIFE SCIENCES

This course focuses on learning fundamental concepts in command-line programming for the purpose of handling large-scale biological data sets including genomic data sets and long-term ecological research (LTER) data sets. Topics include Bash scripting, Python scripting, version control, and use of generative AI in code generation.

BIO 2910 Essentials of Bioinformatics must be completed before this course. Alternatively, the instructor may permit to enroll in this course.
