CHEM 4600 MOLECULAR PHARMACOLOGY

This course provides a comprehensive overview for advanced undergraduate/graduate level students, of the theoretical principles of Pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, dosing and formulation, safety and toxicity. The course will delve into the pharmacologic mechanisms of action of biologically active molecules, such as drugs, chemical mediators, hormones, and toxins, the effects of these molecules on organ systems and the therapeutic uses of such molecules, routes of drug administration and metabolism, adverse reactions, contraindications, drug-drug interactions and mechanisms of drug addiction.
