CDD 5239 LANGUAGE SAMPLING WITH ADOLESCENTS: IMPLICATIONS FOR INTERVENTION
The ability to use language at a discourse level with clarity, precision, and confidence in social, academic, and professional settings is a basic human right and a necessity. About 10% to 15% of adolescents have language disorders that limit their ability to express themselves, including those with DLD, Autism, and TBI. Students will learn how to gain insight into the unique strengths and needs that individual speakers display so that as future professionals they can plan meaningful and relevant intervention activities for adolescents.
