SPED 3166 FAMILIES AS COLLABORATORS IN THE CLASSROOM, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY

Considers relationships among diverse families, teachers, schools, and other community institutions, as well as legal history and the significance of parent and community involvement in education. Needs of diverse families with exceptional individuals and strategies/resources for parents will be highlighted. Group dynamics theory and collaborative practices will be examined to promote effective partnerships among students, families, and professionals in diverse educational settings.
